Sandra Greiner
Postdoctoral Researcher
About
In August 2022, I joined the SEG group and I am postdoctoral researcher there since November 2022. Before, I did my PhD studies at the University of Bayreuth in the field of model-driven software product line engineering. Besides working on my thesis on multi-variant model transformations, I visited the IT University of Copenhagen in 2021 for conducting research on synchronizing variability information in the Software Quality Research group, supported by a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service.
My main research interests center around automating the creation of customized software solutions by consistently maintaining variability throughout the software development lifecylce. A special focus lies on using models to abstract the software and to automate its safe generation.

[July 2023] We presented a transformation case to illuminate the strengths and weaknesses of incremental model transformations defined in GPLs and DSLs at the Transformation Tool Contest running at STAF conference in Leicester, UK.
I gave an invited talk about taming complex software in the context of cyber-physical production systems at the LIT Cyber-Physical Systems Lab of the JKU Linz, AT.
I gave a guest lecture on Taming Large Complex Software Systems in the Space Software course at the University of Athens, Greece.
I serve as PC at the Artifact Evaluation Track of the 26th International Conference on Model-Driven Engineering Languages and Systems (Models 23).
At SPLC 2023, I co-organize the 6th edition of the VariVolution workshop. We are looking for submissions on current research managing variability in space and time :) Please consider also that we will run the workshop in an interactive hybrid format joint with the conference in Japan!
